Lemongrass is native to India and Nepal, used in Asian cuisine and tea. Ayurvedic medicine use for many things be it bacterial infections, reducing muscle and joint pain, depression, anxieties, cognitive disorders as well as repelling insects, combating jet lag, insomnia and many skin conditions including acne, athletes foot, cellulitis, folliculitis and cellulite. Lemongrass has anti-bacterial, anti-septic, astringent, analgesic, anti-depressant, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory actions which help to tone muscle and tissues, relieve colds, heal cuts, scrapes, burns and open wounds, as well as relieve headaches and provide mental clarity. It's believed that it dilates the blood vessels, helping to draw excess fluid from hidden fat deposits under the skin, hence it's ability to help reduce the appearance of cellulite.
